Freestate Applicant Eligibility Criteria
Prospective Applicants Must:
- Be at least 15 and 7 months-18 years of age at the time of entry into the program
- Withdrawn from High School prior to their enrollment date
- Have U.S. Citizenship (or Legal Residency)
- Have a Social Security Card
- Have a Birth Certificate
- Be a resident of the State of Maryland
- Be drug free
- Volunteer
- Commit to the program and adhere to expectations of the program
- Willing to be lead by others
- Desire to successfully lead others
- Be physically and mentally capable
- Not be currently on parole or supervised probation for other than juvenile status offenses; not awaiting sentencing; and not under indictment, charged, or convicted of a crime that is considered a felony when charged as an adult
* A mandatory drug screening will be conducted within the first forty days of starting Freestate ChalleNGe Academy. If applicants test positive for the presence of illegal drugs they will be terminated.
